This is Jess.

The person behind Dusty Creek, the camera, the stories and, more often than not, the one wandering off somewhere because the light looked good.

Photography has become a much bigger part of my life over the past few years. Not just taking beautiful photos, but capturing people as they are, places as they feel, and the little moments that might otherwise pass us by.

I love rural Australia.

The people. The characters. The old kitchens and homesteads. The sheds, trucks, horses, cattle, roads and landscapes. The beautiful bits and the weathered bits. I love watching the dust settle through a different lens and finding beauty in places other people might drive straight past.

Roaming and wandering suits me.

I don't think I was ever meant to spend my whole life standing behind a counter or packing orders in a shed. I want to travel, meet people, photograph them, listen to their stories and share a little of what I find along the way.

That's becoming part of Dusty Creek too.

As I relocate and give this business another chance in a new place, I'm hoping to build a life where the two can exist alongside each other. Dusty Creek can continue to be the brand I've spent years building, while photography and storytelling give me the freedom to get out into the world and create.

I'm also working towards making some of my rural Australian photography available as prints, along with digital assets and other pieces you can purchase and keep. That's coming soon.
