In the 1980s, the Mary River was prime bull-catching country—floodplain and scrub, swamp and river, teeming with wild buffalo and cattle. The terrain was unforgiving, the chases were long, and the machines were built tough—stripped-down Toyotas with no roof, no doors, bars for protection, and an engine with just enough extra grunt.

By the late ‘80s, the bionic arm changed the game, but before that, it was all hands, all horsepower, and all guts.

This cap is a tribute to the bull-catching era, to the ones who pushed hard and lived fast, and to the wild country that made them.
